Los Cabos se encuentra en la punta sur de Península de Baja California, al oeste del resto de la República Mexicana en el extremo sur de California. El Mar de Cortés rodea a Los Cabos por la zona este y el Pacífico por el lado oeste. Los Cabos se encuentra aproximadamente a 1,600 km de San Diego.

GEOGRAFÍA

La región geográfica es una mezcla dinámica de paisajes desérticos, playas y zonas montañosas. “El Arco”, es una distintiva roca ubicada justo en el fin de la tierra, es el punto geográfico más destacado de Los Cabos. “El Arco” se encuentra donde se cruza el Mar de Cortés con el Océano Pacífico y se formó debido a movimiento de ambas aguas.

A partir de este 2012, Los Cabos implementó la Entrada Global de kioskos para viajeros internacionales que llegan al Aeropuerto Internacional de San José del Cabo (SJC). Como el primer aeropuerto seleccionado para este programa, la reputación de Los Cabos como un destino seguro está más que afirmada. Los kioskos de Entrada Global están ubicados en el aeropuerto para permitir a viajeros pre-aprobados de bajo riesgo evitar las filas y pasar directamente al kiosko correspondiente para un acceso rápido a su llegada a Los Cabos.
Aunque este programa esta diseñado en principio para viajeros frecuentes, no hay un número mínimo de vuelos necesarios para calificar, haciendo de la Entrada Global una conveniente ventaja para el Aeropuerto Internacional de San José del Cabo, beneficiando a viajeros tanto de negocios como de placer.

REQUISITOS

Hay muchos taxis disponibles en el aeropuerto, en hoteles y en sitios. También hay transporte público y renta de vehículos, sólo es necesario contar con licencia de manejo.

PLAYAS

De San José del Cabo a Cabo San Lucas hay alrededor de 20 diferentes playas para explorar. Las famosas son Costa Azul, para los amantes del surf; Palmilla, que es una de las favoritas para fotógrafos; Santa María, por su bahía protegida y santuario marino; Chileno, por ser ideal para nadar y hacer snorkel; El Médano, con el mayor punto de deportes acuáticos y la Playa del Amor, accesible únicamente desde el mar y cerca de “El Arco”, donde el Mar de Cortés se encuentra con el Océano Pacífico. Muchas son privadas, otras más populares y algunas de ellas cuentan con restaurantes. Las corrientes marinas son muy fuertes así que sugerimos que lean los señalamientos antes de meterse a nadar.
